Liberty is governed by a
popularly elected mayor and
board of aldermen. The 5
aldermen are elected at large.
Terms of office are 4 years and
the terms are staggered; there
is an election every two years.
On one cycle 2 aldermen and the
mayor are elected and two years
later the other 3 alderman
positions are on the ballot.
The Liberty City election is
held in early September of even
numbered years.
The Liberty Board of Mayor
and Aldermen meet on the 1st Monday of each month at 7:00 PM
in the Board meeting room at
Liberty Town Hall.
